How It Works & Gym Format

Here at Coach Tane Fitness (CTF), variety is endless! We provide the ultimate transformation program for all levels of fitness and abilities in 35 minutes. Our programmes are innovative, flexible and most importantly - FUN! Providing you with not only a professional, exhilarating workout each day but the support of a personal trainer with you at all times.

Disclaimer 

  • Our programme can be altered to suit your goal whether it may be to lose weight/burn as many calories as possible, build muscle and tone, build strength, improve boxing and kickboxing skills or to improve cardio and conditioning.  

  • Here at CTF, coaching and ensuring perfect technique is vital! You will always have a coach to show you how to execute each exercise, to ensure you are doing everything correctly. You will be able to work at your own pace and we will be there to support you every step of the way!

  • Now we don't just tell you what to do, we take it a step further, we educate, we teach you how and why we do things (we teach you the ‘how’ and ‘why’ behind each movement). This knowledge is yours to apply and carry with you for the rest of your life.   

  • We do offer boxing/kickboxing services however this is completely optional. We understand there are many people that are not interested in boxing/kickboxing so please do not let this put you off, we always have plenty of alternatives for everybody!

The Workout

Our workouts are made up of 10 workout stations. Each station is 3 minutes long and includes a combination of strength training, cardio, boxing/kickboxing and core work.

The rounds are tracked using a traffic light system - see below.

GREEN LIGHT

We are working and you repeat the task until the light ultimately flicks over to red.

ORANGE LIGHT

Signals 30 second remaining of current round.

RED LIGHT

Signals the end of the round, you’re then given a 30 second rest to catch your breath before heading into the next round.

CTF Hypertrophy (Muscle Building) Programme

We run our hypertrophy programmes in 4-8 week blocks.

 

In each training block we will look to progress in selected main and accessory movements. 

We utilise the 7 fundamental movement patterns to ensure our workout programs are well rounded. The 7 fundamental movement patterns are; Horizontal push, Horizontal pull, Vertical push, Vertical pull, squat, hinge and rotation.

Optimising Training Progression

Phase 1: Acclimation / Deload Week 

The emphasis is on familiarising ourselves with the movements, mastering tempo, and maintaining control throughout the full range of motion. It's crucial not to push to failure during this week, instead, working within a specific rep range and stopping a few reps before failure.

Phases 2 & 3: Intensification Stages

We aim to elevate our training intensity, occasionally incorporating various techniques for added challenge.

 

Phase 4: Peak Week

We are dedicated to surpassing our previous personal bests.
